John Proctor, Stooge or Hero?

John Proctor isn't exactly a hero, so I would say that he is a stooge. When you think of a Hero, you think of someone who does good deeds and ends suffering. Unfortunately Proctor's actions have also contributed into the Salem Witch Trials. At first he is convinced to go to Salem to find out the truth about the witchcraft incident in the forest. But then once he gets there, we find out that he had an affair with Abigail and she still wants to be with him. But proctor is with Elizabeth now, and Abigail wanted to kill Elizabeth by conjuring spirits in the forest. Later he reveals that he committed adultery to try to save his wife from the consequences due to Abigail lying in court. He later forces Mary to explain and tell the truth of the whole hoax. Proctor does have his sins himself because he can't recite all 10 commandments, and his youngest son isn't baptized. But in the end he did do some heroic acts such as saving his name and accepting his fate.

There Goes the Neighborhood

We were minding our own business and everything was going well, until the dreadful settlers came into our land. They are very greedy and trade us many useless things for our cherished items. We give them animals, cotton, and weapons. They give us useless glass balls and cheap fabrics. We treat them nicely and expect the same in return. They were very useless without their tools and luxuries , so we helped them by teaching them the ways of nature. Grow crops, build tools, hunt animals. But all they want is to convert us into their beliefs of Christianity. Why should we believe in their god when they ruin ours? We believe in the nature that surrounds us, to take good care of the trees, rivers, and animals and we shall be rewarded. Instead they come and chop down trees plow the land to build houses and try to claim our land. They start to get more violent with each day, they kidnapped some of our brothers to use as slaves. They plan to overrun us and claim our land, we believe that land isn't claimed. The land is for everyone to utilize.

About me

My name is Max Jacob Guo and this year I am a Sophomore attending Whitney Young. A little bit about me, I am 15 years old this year and some things I enjoy doing are, Skateboarding, playing video games, dancing, and hanging out with friends. I also play a random variety of instruments such as piano and ukulele. But my strongest instrument is the drums which I have been playing for about 5 years now. I was in the school band last year and in the advanced band this year but unfortunately due to schedule problems I do not have that class as of now. Hopefully later on I can get that sorted out. I am also one of the heads of our schools very own: Breakdance club if anyone is interested please contact me or check us out on club fair OCT. 1st. We really need new members this year. I also have some fish, a turtle, and a pet cat named Tiger. I hope this year we have fun and learn some new things in English.
